Story from Dolní Věstonice to Hustopeče

Hi! Long time no talk. Now I'll make this quick guys.
So I'm joining one of AIESEC Program Global Citizen where I have to promote my culture in other country by doing a social project in other country. I've been accepted in EDISON Project in Brno, Czech Republic for 6 weeks from January 24th 2016 until March 6th 2016. Such a long time, isn't it? I'm doing an education project, so I have to be in 6 different schools and 4 different host families in 5 weeks. The first week is preparation week where I live in dorm with the other 19 Exchange Participants (EPs) from different countries. And then my first school is Gymnázium T. G. Masaryka, Hustopeče.
It's such an unforgettable week ever and now I will tell you how amazing it is for me.

On the preparation week, when one of the school's representatives are coming to school to tell and explain us about
the rules and everything about their school, suddenly Marketa (one of AIESECers) introduced me and my team two
students of the first school we will visit. At first I thought that they are AIESEC members, but then I was so wrong.
They are Anetta and Jakub. Marketa said Aneta will be Bessie's (EP from Australia) host family and Jakub will be
my host family. I was like oh my God, cool! Anetta is so talkative and Jakub is so quite. So I make him talk and chat
a little bit. He said he has 1 sister named Natalie, and he has snake, dog, and cat. Everyone in my team was also
surprised and congratulates me because I will sleep together with the snake, thank you guys by the way.

The school is located in Hustopece and I live in Dolni Vestonice. I went to Hustopece on January 31st 2016 using
train with my team. We arrived there at around 5 PM and I'm surprised because there were Jakub there with his
dad and Natalie picking me up in Sakvice, the train station. Jakub speaks English, and his mom speaks English a
little bit, meanwhile Natalie and his dad don't. Jakub is like my translator for me ahahahahahah :p I sleep in
Jakub's room and I feel so sorry because he has to sleep on the couch in the living room :-(
Oh yes, Hustopece and Dolni Vestonice are 22 minutes away if you go by bus. There are around 6.000 people live in Hustopece and 300 people live in Dolni Vestonice so you can say that Dolni Vestonice is such a small village but it's really good you know. I have to wake up at 5 and take a bath at 5:45 ("Nuha, you can use the bathroom from 5:45 because I will use it from 5:30 until 5:45." Jakub said). And then we have to catch a 6:33 AM bus near our house. It's always still dark when we go to school. After we arrive in Hustopece, we have to walk for around 5 minutes to go to school.

The yellow building in the left is my school!

The school is located in the center of Hustopece and it's such a good school because the first president of
Czechoslovakia, Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, lived and studied there for 2 years. At first, I thought it's a hotel. And
then Jakub laughed and said it's the school. You can say I feel a little bit lost because everything is different there.
You have to sweep your student ID card to the certain machine to unlock the glassdoor. After that, Jakub changed
his shoes to slippers and I found it so cool because they all actually wear slippers in the school.

I don't know what to say. I'm in love with this school. Everyone is being so kind and always greeting me and the other EPs. In the first day, they were all gathering in the school hall and greeting us with school's choir and all. The teachers gave me the souvenirs made from papers and those are reaaaaally cool! I'm so touched.

Everyday, after school ended, the teachers and the students brought us to some places, like museums (we went to
wine museum!), and protected-by-UNESCO park, to the festival in town, to some traditional restaurants, we even
met the Major of the town and she welcomed us too ;( It's always good to be together with good people. I can't
explain how happy I was. Everyone is sooo kind and the students are all so good-behaved. They all can speak English
well so it's not difficult to get along!

Mrs. Major and I, I seriously love this picture so much.

Good place, good people.

"Nuha, stand there and I will take photo!" "Make this quick."

Dropping by Alex's Taiwanese class.

Some boys are way too tall. The one in the middle is 196 cm.

It's a little bit difficult to teach them how to play suling. This is one of my favourite classes, the oldest one.

Camera alert.

Alex, can you look at the camera? Hahahaha.

Messy table and cute hand-writings in bananas<333

They did this on the announcement board in the hall. I'm so touched, they are the best. (Can you see me?)

This Indonesian girl is way too happy because she is attending an unique festival for the first time.

People in the back are staring at us, Captain.

Sooooo cute!

I really like the festival. They are all wearing different costumes and it's really cool. Husty!
They also wrote something on my cheeks with the red marker. There are so many foods and people are singing, dancing, lottering (what), and I was so happy. My favourite costume is the Smurf one! They literally painted themselves blue. Wow dedicated af.

.......Okay, this is a wrap. I don't know what type of cheese am I eating but it's nice.

There are so many stories to tell, I'm trying to write as much as possible until my fingers can't type anymore. Ok joke. Ahoj, people!
